3rd Grade


In the 3rd Grade, students apply critical thinking skills to all areas of the curriculum. They use reading strategies to comprehend lengthier texts, develop tools to organize their thoughts into well-structured paragraphs and essays, and continue to gain an understanding of number concepts, while practicing computational procedures in more complex math problems.

A considerable goal is for students at this grade level is to develop independence, as they assume increasing responsibility for monitoring their own progress and for learning.
