The Cat in the Hat Visits Laurence

The Laurence students had a fun surprise last Friday, when the Cat in the Hat showed up to greet them during carpool! March 2nd was Dr. Seuss' birthday - a day that is celebrated throughout the nation through Read Across America Day. The Cat in the Hat (a.k.a. 3rd Grade dad, Ralph Garman) also joined us at the Red, White, Blue & Green Assembly to hand out birthday ribbons! Afterwards, he headed to the library to read his famous book to Kindergarteners, who got into the spirit of the day by wearing their own special hats.
