The year is off to a great start in science. Here's a peek into what's happening in our Science Center so far...
2nd Grade students worked in teams to create paper chains with a single piece of construction paper and a few inches of tape. With this challenge, they practiced critical thinking, problem-solving, and measuring skills.
5th Grade students were challenged to design cantilevers (structures used in bridge construction) to support the weight of an apple.
6th Grade students were also presented with a challenge: Imagine you were stranded in the ocean and could only take three items with you in order to survive. Our 6th graders worked as teams and figured out just that. 95% of our students were rescued. Would you be up for the challenge?
