Augmented Reality and the Gold Rush
Augmented Reality and the Gold Rush

This year, the 4th Grade took their technology/social studies integration to new levels while studying California history. During a recent project, the students designed Gold Rush "artifacts" in Tinkercad, a 3D design app used by designers, and brought them to life using the 3D printer. Next, the students created a video to explain what they made and why, which was uploaded to HP Reveal, an app that turns videos into Augmented Reality. At Open House, parents were able to watch the AR videos students created through a scanned QR code, bringing the whole project to life.
