By Steve Nairin, 4th Grade Teacher
Our 4th grade students recently had the opportunity to visit the “Decimal Diner,” located—coincidentally—in House 4A and 4B. This was a fun and interactive activity that allowed the students to practice what they have learned during our math unit on decimals. There were four stations at the diner they had to go through (adding, subtracting, comparing, and rounding decimals).
Each student was given a "menu" from the diner to use for this activity. Our classrooms were transformed into traditional 1950s diners with music, singing, and dancing, all while students worked on their math skills. Lots of fun was had by all in visiting the Decimal Diner!
