Laurie Wolke
Head of School

Laurie Wolke juggles a variety of responsibilities as Head of School, but perhaps none brings her more joy than her deep involvement in the admissions process. Ensuring that our school community is strong is one of her top priorities because at Laurence, we are family.

As the mother of two Laurence graduates, Laurie also has a unique understanding of the process and loves to help prospective families learn what a Laurence education can provide for their children.

Sandy Cohen
Associate Director of Admissions

Sandy is in her 20th year at Laurence and is the face and voice of the school’s Admissions Office. She loves working with our prospective and new families, and, in her role as Associate Director of Admissions, she assists families with every aspect of the application and admissions process.

Whether you have introductory questions, need help with your application, want to know more about what happens during our visitations, or just want to chat with her about the programs and culture at Laurence, Sandy is always available and happy to help.

Chaniece Penn
Chaniece Penn
Admissions Associate

Chaniece supports families throughout the admissions journey, from the initial inquiry through the completion of the application process. She enjoys helping families navigate each step, answering questions along the way, and making sure the process feels clear, supportive, and welcoming.

In addition to assisting with applications, Chaniece coordinates many of the special events that welcome families to campus, creating opportunities for connection and a firsthand look at the Laurence community. She looks forward to getting to know prospective families and introducing them to the people, programs, and values that make Laurence such a special place.
