Director of Strategic Communications
Jenny Sonbolian

Jenny Sonbolian joined Laurence School in 2023 as Director of Strategic Communications after spending a decade as a Laurence parent and volunteer. Today, she leads the school's communications, marketing, branding, publications, social media, and storytelling efforts, helping share the people, programs, and moments that define the Laurence community. Having been part of Laurence as both a parent and now a member of the leadership team, Jenny brings a unique perspective to sharing the school's story with current and prospective families, alumni, and the broader community.
Jenny has spent more than 20 years working in editorial, communications, marketing, and brand strategy across nonprofit and corporate organizations. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and American Literature from Boston University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The New School. Jenny is also a memoirist, essayist, and fiction writer.
Born in California and raised in Boston, Jenny will always consider herself an East Coast girl at heart. She now lives in Los Angeles with her husband Jay, their children, Eva ('20) and Noah ('23), and their dog, Rex. In her free time, she enjoys reading, practicing yoga, traveling with her family, and discovering new places and great coffee along the way.
