Director of Development
Sue Kroopnick

Sue Kroopnick joined Laurence School's Development department in 2012 and serves as Director of Development, leading the school's fundraising and philanthropic initiatives. She works closely with parents, grandparents, alumni, trustees, and friends of the school to build meaningful relationships and inspire support for Laurence's mission. A member of the Laurence community for nearly 30 years as both a parent and administrator, Sue brings a unique perspective to her work and a deep appreciation for the lifelong impact a Laurence education has on students and families.
Sue holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from UCLA. Before joining Laurence, Sue built a successful career in television production, marketing, and communications, holding positions with The Walt Disney Company, CBS Television, and Triage Entertainment. Her passion for storytelling and background in strategic communications and relationship-building continues to shape her approach to philanthropy and community engagement.
Sue is the proud parent of three Laurence alumni, Katie ('02), Anna ('05), and Scott ('05), and considers it a privilege to support the school that played such an important role in her family's life. Outside of Laurence, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, their children and twin grandchildren, and extended family and friends, traveling, playing pickleball, practicing Pilates, and cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
