CIT Camp Program

Dear Parents and Prospective CITs:

We are pleased to offer students and Laurence graduates the opportunity to participate in our CIT (Counselor In Training) Program for the Laurence Summer Camp. The CIT Program provides tremendous benefits to all participants. Notably, the CIT Program will provide a full day (8:30 am-3:15 pm) of leadership experiences and training in a variety of areas. In addition, CIT’s who successfully complete the program will receive a letter of recommendation and credit for a community service experience. In order to qualify for this training and leadership program, a prospective CIT must make the commitment to attend at least one entire week and preferably all four weeks of summer camp.

During the morning enrichment program, CIT’s will assist with the following on a weekly rotational basis:

• Art Studio
• Technology
• Kindergarten-3 rd grade classrooms
• PE/Sports
• Camp Assemblies

As part of the afternoon elective program, CIT’s will work on a weekly rotational basis in:

• Technology Camp (Digital Photography, Animation, Chess, etc.)
• Arts/Crafts Camp (Sculpture, Clay-Handbuilding/Mosaics, Scrapbooking etc.)
• Dance, Dance Revolution/ Karaoke
• Sports Camp (Basketball, Hockey, Flag Footbal, Soccer, Dodgeball, Scooter Mania, & Capture the Flag)
• Fun In The Summer (Kindergarten only)
