Curriculum Development
It is important for Laurence School to be able to provide an academic program that focuses on personalized learning. This means small class sizes, flexible ability learning groups in math and reading, and superior preparation for middle school placement.
Faculty
Laurence School retains only the most talented and credentialed faculty, along with specialists with high-level degrees. In order to attract these fine educators, Laurence must provide them with the most competitive compensation and benefits, while supporting their professional development.
Technology
Fundraising dollars allow Laurence to use technology to advance our academic goals in a society with ever-growing technological challenges and opportunities. Our new state-of-the-art Technology Resource Center incorporates the latest advances and allows for wide access to the vast educational online resources available for all students.
Enrichment Programs
In addition to high standards in academics, Laurence School focuses on enrichment programs such as Character Education, Community Service, Multicultural Education, and Cultural Enrichment. Our commitment to humanistic education is demonstrated in our innovative programs.

Your Annual Fund Contributions Ensure Academic Excellence
Laurence School gratefully acknowledges the many parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff and friends who generously contributed to the 2008-2009 Joining Hands Annual Giving Fund Campaign. The funds received have greatly enhanced the school's operating budget, allowing us to enrich the lives of our Laurence students and faculty by providing:
- New computers for the Technology Center, classrooms, faculty and staff
- Digital Cameras, software and video recorders for students
- Significant increase in Financial Aid
- Planting of new trees and improvements to the Secret Garden
- Complete remodel of the Drama Room, Music Room and Kindergarten Room
- Increased parking
- Additional teachers’ work space and lounge
- Professional development conferences for faculty and staff
