Student Council provides opportunities for students to develop important leadership skills and to actively participate in the school’s democratic life. Student Council is available for 3rd-6th grade students, and officers are elected from the fifth and sixth grades. Student Council officers co-chair weekly meetings and coordinate school-wide debates and elections.
Representatives deliver presentations at the weekly school-wide assemblies. Student Council members engage in extensive community service. Student Council holds Town Meetings to discuss and debate issues of importance to students and the school community. In addition, Student Council coordinates school-wide elections, supports green initiatives through-out the campus and fosters school spirit.
