Year long peace-themed events in and out of the classroom provide a rich experience for all students. The International Day of Peace is a way to connect students of all ages with people and events globally. By taking part in Peace Day, our children engage with people all over the world in exploring and celebrating the importance of doing good, feeling good, cooperating, and creatively thinking about ways to build a peaceful and sustainable world. Students participate in the Peace Day celebration at the Red, White, Blue & Green Assembly by creating banners and slogans, singing songs, and reciting poetry. Messages expressing our students’ feelings about what peace means to them hang from our Peace Dove in our Secret Garden throughout the school year.
