Character Education Curriculum
K - 6

Character education is a way of life at Laurence and is an integral part of our philosophy of developing the unique abilities and potential of each student. Teachings that embrace concern for others, responsibility, honesty, and kindness are interwoven throughout the curriculum. Laurence’s character education and community service programs received national recognition and acclaim from the Character Education Partnership, an organization in Washington D.C. In addition, Laurence was awarded a Certificate of Commendation from the Los Angeles City Council for spearheading an expansive tree planting program in the local community.

The weekly Red, White, Blue, and Green Assembly enhances the sense of community through songs, monthly character themes, and the recognition of students for exemplary citizenship, effort, and achievements.
