3rd Grade

In the 3rd Grade, students apply critical thinking skills to all areas of the curriculum. They use reading strategies to comprehend more complex texts, develop tools to organize their thoughts into well-structured paragraphs and essays, and continue to gain an understanding of number concepts, while practicing computational procedures in more complex math problems.

A considerable goal for students at this grade level is to develop independence and accountability, as they assume increasing responsibility for monitoring their own progress in learning.

Our Technology Curriculum

Laurence's technology curriculum begins in Kindergarten and progresses through the grades, setting a strong pace of learning focused on computational thinking skills, the design process, practical technology use, coding, and, of course, the joy of discovery, making, and tinkering!
