Year long peace-themed events in and out of the classroom provide a rich experience for all students. The International Day of Peace is a way to connect students of all ages with people and events globally. By taking part in Peace Day and exploring and celebrating the importance of doing good, feeling good, cooperating, and thinking creatively about ways to build a peaceful and sustainable world, our children grow character.
Students participate in the Peace Day celebration at our Red, White, Blue & Green Assembly (RWB&G) by creating banners and slogans, singing songs, and reciting poetry. Later, messages can be seen hanging from our Peace Dove in the Secret Garden with our students’ feelings about what peace means to them.
