Thank you to the Bronson family for a wonderful presentation on Japan last week! Our students learned about the capital city of Tokyo and the four islands of Japan. They were surprised to find out that the country is smaller than California! They also heard about Mount Fuji, the tallest mountain, and how it takes hikers about 14 hours to climb it. Cultural traditions were shared as well, including the passing down of a kimono through the generations and the many holidays celebrated throughout Japan, such as Tanabata and Obon. Additionally, we learned that the schools in Japan are maintained by students and children attend school six days a week! Click here for photos.
