Musicals & Plays

Performances at Laurence are viewed as a key part of the overall curriculum, as they play a central role in the development of early childhood confidence and imagination.

  • Dramatic performance helps them to connect with subjects.
  • Performance helps to develop public speaking and communication skills.
  • Students learn lessons about character and empathy through role-play and improvisation.

Upper Elementary Musical

Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade stun audiences each year in our spring musical production. In addition to acting and singing, students help design sets, props and costumes.

Lower Elementary Play

Budding actors in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades have the opportunity each spring to act in the lower division play as part of our elective and after school programs.

"I regard theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being"
Oscar Wilde
