Working at Laurence

Laurence School, a kindergarten through sixth grade independent school founded by Marvin and Lynn Jacobson in 1953, has been a fixture in the San Fernando Valley for 63 years.

Our "Total Child" philosophy means that we provide a personal and well-rounded education to each student, ensuring his/her academic, social, emotional, and physical growth and development. And, with an enrollment of 300 students and a dedicated faculty and staff that is over sixty-five members strong, Laurence is an excellent place to work.

Here, employees have the opportunity to thrive in a stimulating and diverse environment, where new ideas, opportunities, skills, and experiences are constantly being exchanged and shared.

Our teachers, administrators, and staff members receive competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including the option for HMO or PPO insurance and a 401(k) Plan, with matching levels based upon years of service. We are equal opportunity employers and do not discriminate based upon race, religion, national or ethnic origin, or disability.
